Navigating Sorority Recruitment as an Aggie Family Member

August 18, 2017 by New Student and Family Programs

Your daughter has decided to attend Texas A&M and you couldn’t be prouder. You begin an inventory of everything she’ll need on Move-In Day and start thinking about the moment you’ll say goodbye, then she shares another decision: she wants to participate in sorority recruitment.

When my oldest daughter told me she was planning to attend recruitment, I truly didn’t know what to expect. As the first day arrived, I waited patiently all day to hear from my firstborn Aggie. A Letter from the MSC President

August 9, 2017 by New Student and Family Programs

As your students begin their time at Texas A&M, they will soon find there are numerous opportunities for involvement. With over 1,200 student organizations, there is certainly a group at this university will be the right fit for your student—offering them support, equipping them with new skills, and encouraging them to develop as individuals and as Aggies.

To learn about these organizations, I would like to invite your students to attend MSC Open House on Sunday, September 3, from 1-5 p.m. MSC Open House takes place throughout the Memorial Student Center, even in some outdoor spaces and adjoining buildings. This program is the best way to learn about various organizations since they will be conveniently located in one place.

Who we are

As part of the Aggie Family, we want to be your partner in supporting your student(s) at Texas A&M. Your roles as parents and mentors are as important as ever.
