WHAT WE DO...
Our organization focuses on…
PARENTS OF THE YEAR
A longstanding tradition at Texas A&M, members of APFA assist in selection of the new Parents of the Year annually and also spend time getting to know our current and past parents of the year through social and service focused events.FAMILY WEEKEND
Members of APFA support this 100-year-old annual tradition by working to plan an event and also serving as Family Weekend staff during events. Our members get to be an active part of one of the largest traditions Texas A&M has to offer!
CELEBRATE THE AGGIE FAMILY
Members spend time building relationships with current and former members of the Aggie Family to strengthen the connection between class years.
WHAT THEY SAY...
What do past members have to say about their experience?
I wanted to make an impact in the Aggie Community and be closer to A&M. Joining APFA helped me achieve that and so much more. I've created many welcoming experiences for students and family and networked with so many Aggies that can benefit my future.
I am involved in APFA because I love being part of a student organization that gives back to A&M through servanthood and selfless service, especially during Family Weekend. APFA has enabled me to grow my leadership skills and become a better student, leader, and community member. Seeing first-hand the impact families make directly on this campus inspires me, through Parents of the Year Weekend (POY) and witnessing this through Family Weekend.
I joined because in high school, I was a school ambassador and really enjoyed the role, so I wanted to continue serving my school as one. I also wanted a place to find my role within the student body, as well as help build a community that other Aggies would enjoy.
